How to create classifications

Overview

Classifications are used to group Investors together, based on a number of criteria such as type or location. Investors will automatically be assigned to a classification based on their profiles matching the criteria set, and therefore help you streamline processes especially around controls of who has visibility of deals.

How to create a classification

Starting on the home page. Click the hamburger icon () to open the menu. The menu opens in a left-hand sidebar.

Select Classifications from the menu, this will take you to the Manage Classifications screen where all Investors, Classifications and Classification Details are shown.

Select the Classification Details tab.

Click the Add Classification button and a pop-up will appear where you can input the desired classification name. Once you are happy, click Save.

The new classification you created will appear at the bottom of the list. Configure the classification by selecting the ellipsis (...) next to it and select Add Classification Data from the dropdown.

In this pop up, you can select the desired field name (from the Investor’s profile), operator, and value. Once you are happy, click Save.

You can add as much classification criteria as you like, enabling you to create either highly specific or more general classifications. 

Once you have added all the desired classification data, the classification is ready for use.
