Technical aspect of appropriateness tests

Modified on Mon, 26 Feb at 12:47 PM

A Retail Investor must complete an additional component when undergoing onboarding - the appropriateness test. This test is designed to ensure that Retail Investors possess sufficient knowledge about investments and to verify their sustainability.

Please be aware that Delio can only provide Retail Investor regulatory cover in the UK.

If a Retail Investor passes or fails the appropriateness test, they will enter a 24-hour cooldown period. If they pass the appropriateness test, after the 24-hour cooldown, the investor will receive an email saying that they can now log in.

In the event that a retail investor does not pass the appropriateness test, they will also enter a 24-hour cooldown period. After this period, they have the opportunity to retake a test that presents a different set of questions. However, if they fail the test again, they will not be permitted to retake the test.

This measure helps to maintain a level of assurance that the Retail Investors engaging with your platform are adequately informed and suitable for the investment opportunities presented.
