How to use Bookbuilding

Overview

Bookbuilding on Delio Core gives you the ability to view all the offline and pre-investment actions taken by an Investor on a Deal.

Here, you can also add actions, move a classified Investor into the Transaction Management process, mark which Investor isn’t interested in the Deal, and exclude an Investor manually from the Deal’s visibility.

This help article covers:

  • How to access Bookbuilding

  • Managing actions within Bookbuilding

  • Removing potential investors from deal visibility

  • Starting the Transaction Management process via Bookbuilding

How to access Bookbuilding

Click the hamburger icon (≡) to open the menu. The menu opens in a left-hand sidebar.

Arrow pointing at the hamburger icon.

From here click on My Deals

Arrow pointing at the 'My Deals' button.

Here, you will be able to find the published deal you wish to manage and click into the deal.

Arrow pointing at a specific deal.

When creating a Deal, you will have marked which Investor types have access. If you haven’t, you can manage the deal’s visibility in the Visibility tab.

Arrows pointing at the 'Visibility' tab and the 'Include' and 'Exclude' text boxes.

Based on the deal’s visibility you initially set up, the Bookbuilding tab provides more granular insight. It highlights all Investors that have access to the deal, but have not yet entered the Transaction Management process, marking them as Potential Investors.

Arrow pointing at the 'Bookbuilding' tab.

The Potential Investors sub-tab highlights how each Investor has engaged with the Deal, how many times they have viewed it and whether they have made any enquiries.

Managing Actions within Bookbuilding

Keep track of all conversations and emails with an Investor about this deal via the Bookbuilding tab.

The Actions column in the Potential Investors sub-tab can be used to manually highlight all the recent actions taken towards promoting this opportunity, as well as the conversations held and emails written.

It can be used as a to-do list to set the next steps or as an audit to manually log any activity. To access a full log of all actions relating to this Investor, directly click into the latest action next to the Investor’s name.

You can also add a new action with the Add new action button. Alternatively, click into the three dots menu and select Add new action

Arrows pointing at the ellipses and the "Add New Action" from the dropdown.

Add details of the action and click Add for it to be logged.

A pop-up with arrows indicating the 'Add New Action' text and the 'Add' button.

Removing potential investors from a Deal’s visibility

If desired, a Potential Investor can be moved to the Declined Investors list. This will restrict an Investor from seeing this deal, even if they classify.

To move an Investor into the Declined sub-tab, click the three dots menu next to the Investor’s name. Select Move to Declined

Arrows pointing at the ellipses and the 'Move to Decline' button from the dropdown.

This moves the Investor to the Declined Investor sub-tab and ensures they will no longer receive any promotional emails. They can still view the deal.

To completely remove an Investor from the deal’s visibility, you will need to enter the Declined Investors sub-tab. Here, click the three dots menu next to the Investor you wish to exclude. Select Exclude from visibility. This ensures the Investor - while eligible - will no longer be able to view or access the deal from their account.

Arrows pointing at the 'Decline Investor' tab and the 'Exclude from Visibility' button.

An eligible Investor can be re-included in a deal’s visibility at any time.

To reinclude an eligible Investor, enter the Declined Investors sub-tab. Select the relevant Investor who you want to re-include in the deal’s visibility. Through the three dots menu next to the Investor’s name, select Include in visibility. This will automatically move your Investor back into the Potential Investors list, as long as they still classify.

Starting the Transaction Management process via the Bookbuilding Tab

You can use the Bookbuilding tab to start the Transaction Management process for an Investor for this deal.

In the Potential Investor sub-tab, find the Investor you wish to move into the Transaction Management process.

Arrow pointing at a specific investor.

Click on the three dots menu next to the Investor you wish to move. Select Move to Transaction Management.

Arrows pointing at the ellipses and the 'Move to Transaction Management' option from the dropdown.

A popup box will appear, where you will need to add all the details. Once finished, press the Save button.

A pop-up window for adding a transaction.

Confirm whether all the necessary pre-investment documents have been signed and received.

Arrow pointing at the 'Confirm' button.

Once done, the Investor will be moved to the Transaction Management section of the platform.

Once the Investor is in the Transaction Management process, they will be removed from the Potential Investor sub-tab and will no longer be shown in the Bookbuilding tab.
